Most analytical laboratories will have both GC-MS and LC-MS.

Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry can analyse for analytes of low molecular weight and low to moderate polarity.

Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry can analyse for higher molecular weight compounds of all polarities.

Between the two types of instrument, you can cover most of the bases, but not all.

There are gaps that this capability can’t easily fill.

  • Small polar molecules
  • Small molecules (of all polarities) that generate tiny ions when they fragment.

This video will give you an idea of what I mean.

SIFT-MS is a new instrument; able to fill this gap and everyone needs to know more about it.

You and your staff may know little or nothing about the topic and may benefit from a brief introduction to SIFT-MS.

To this end, we have prepared an illustrated, one-hour introductory talk on this subject that we can give on your site, to as many staff as you can muster.

Lunchtime seminar anyone?
