Pyrolysis of Polymers and Adhesives

When analysing polymers and adhesives, thermal desorption and pyrolysis are two GC-MS sampling techniques that go hand-in-hand.

Thermal desorption can directly extract volatile organics from the material, while pyrolysis can be used to give an understanding of the structure of the polymers in use.

It is very useful to have both capabilities in the same instrument and with a GERSTEL Pyro-TDU package, this is possible.

The latest edition of GERSTEL’s solutions magazine contains an article on this topic and you can read the article by following this link.
