Sue has asked me to write a few words by way of introduction, so here goes…
I joined Anatune in August 2015, in an internal sales role, to offer technical support for the sales team.
My original training in Conservation and Restoration with De Montfort University introduced me to analytical chemistry over 20 years ago.
My career developed within the food, flavour and fragrance industry, where I gained hands-on experience and an understanding of the demands of on-line testing in quality control. Next I moved into R&D and I established myself as a flavour research analyst.
Before joining Anatune, I worked for Danisco Flavours and Firmenich directly, and under contract for Synergy Flavours and Waltham Research Institute (aka Mars Pet care).
I have used and developed many preparatory sampling and analytical techniques on a diverse range of media and associated instrumentation and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Over the years, with interest, I have witnessed how automated versions of traditional methods developed and matured. Housing a team from vast technical backgrounds, Anatune is at the forefront of this technology. I find it a very exciting company to be part of.
