In February 2017, Anatune was pleased to deliver an automated Voice200ultra SIFT-MS to Intertek Pharmaceutical Services in Manchester.

Intertek is a leading global Total Quality Assurance provider with a 20-year heritage of providing cGMP contract analytical, GLP bioanalytical, stability and formulation support to the pharmaceutical industry.

The new SIFT-MS is used to analyse pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare products for the presence of volatile impurities such as aldehydes (including formaldehyde), ketones, and esters. SIFT-MS can also determine volatile inorganics such as hydrogen sulphide, hydrogen cyanide or ammonia.

Compared to older technologies, SIFT-MS offers significant advantages in speed of analysis, ease of use and quality of data.

You can read more about how Intertek use SIFT-MS here.

SIFT-MS is a new and fast growing analytical technology that is generating a lot of interest.  Intertek are the first CRO (Contract Research Organisation) in the UK to adopt this technology.
