Having use of a high resolution, accurate mass GC-MS, such as the MultiFlex GC/Q-TOF offers a much greater ability to solve thorny problems you may come across.  For example…

  • The identification of unknown components
  • More complete characterisation of products
  • The ability to highlight subtle but significant changes in the composition of apparently similar samples.

Despite being fantastically useful, it is often a challenge to write a justification in terms that senior managers can fully appreciate.

The stage where you have to make a strong case to buy a MultiFlex GC/Q-TOF is, unfortunately, the point at which you know the least about the instrument.

Of course we can run samples for you and you will always be welcome to have a demonstration of the instrument, but this is no substitute for getting your hands on the instrument and finding out one-to-one exactly what makes it tick.

It is also good to enjoy the confidence that comes from familiarity with an instrument, knowing that you are able to make it work.

To address this issue we have put together a Try-Before-You-Buy scheme that enables you to gain intimate knowledge of the product before you have to write a case to buy one.

This is how it works:

You get unrestricted use of our MultiFlex GC/Q-TOF in our Cambridge laboratory, with expert tuition, for up to 10 working days at a fixed daily cost of £995 per day.

The price includes full training, application support and general lab consumables (such as gases, vials etc.).

Then when you need to write a justification, you will be able to put the knowledge gained to good use, you will have plenty of data to back it up and you will be in a much stronger position to make your case.

If you subsequently go on to buy a MultiFlex GC/Q-TOF from us within 12 months of the completion of this, we will refund you double the amount that you have paid us for use of our instrument.

The dates of the instrument access will be by mutual agreement and subject to prior commitments.
