We’re happy to report that Alan Griffiths of LECO will be joining us for our upcoming Future Focus event in late September.

Alan is a UK Separations Science Product Specialist and will be presenting The Need of 2D GC to Tackle Increased Chromatographic Complexity in Session 3 of Day 1. Click here for the full agenda.

When we resumed distributing LECO products last year, we worked hard to get back up to speed with the technology as quickly as possible.

We started by installing a Pegasus® BT 4D GCxGC-TOFMS in the lab, training up our application chemists and developing methods to help our customers.

Thanks to the ongoing and valuable support of the whole LECO team, we are building in house expertise on both the LECO hardware and ChromaTOF® software portfolio to harness the full potential of two-dimensional chromatography.

But as automation specialists, we had to add automated sample preparation capabilities able to match the varied, complex samples the Pegasus® is capable of handling.

This means a Modular Multi-Purpose Sampler (MPS).

By adding the GERSTEL MPS, we can now offer the widest range of possibilities for automating the extraction of wide variety of target analytes.

It can easily perform almost every stage of sample preparation including automated liquid extraction with Centrifugation, Agitation and Filtration. It can also feature different sample introduction techniques such as dynamic headspace, thermal desorption and pyrolysis.

Join us at the Future Focus event on the 29th and 30th of September to see work done by some of the best analysts in our field, using the most powerful separation tools available.

On the subject of automating the extraction of complex matrices, Jonathan Dunscombe has made a video on work he will be presenting at the event.
