Watermation is just around the corner on the 27th and 28th November. Amongst the many talks, Derek Slater at SembCorp Utilities UK Ltd has kindly offered to present sharing their experiences.

They will be talking about their mindset and approaches to automation, what some of the drivers were that led them to get automated and the benefits that their new instrumentation is bringing to the laboratory.

Automation is not always about solving current issues, sometimes we need to look to the future to see what possible problems will arise and how we are going to solve these. Part of the task of automation is to future proof your analysis workflows.

It is a big step to purchase a new piece of equipment, especially when the technique and the equipment itself is unfamiliar; and once purchased it needs to perform. This talk will give you the chance to hear from people in the industry that have recently taken this step to see just what automation has done for them and what it could do for you.
