We organise our own events and attend many others.

We love to talk with our customers face-to-face so, if you are attending an event, let us know and we can arrange to meet.
Lunch & Learn seminars are provided free by Anatune and consist of one-hour sessions, conducted by experienced analytical chemists, covering topics that are relevant to the work you do.

Why Selective Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS) Matters…

Please click above to see a short video on how SIFT-MS works.

Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS) is for analysts who want to make fast, real-time measurements of volatile (and some semi-volatile) organic compounds in air.

GC-MS represents the gold standard for measuring light organics, but it is slow and usually depends upon some form of sample preparation getting the sample into an acceptable form. If you need to track short-term changes in compositions, GC-MS is a poor option.

The Voice200ultra is a new SIFT-MS from Syft Technologies and has the following attributes:

  • It is fast
  • It measures most organic compounds below m/z 400
  • It has sub-ppt (v/v) sensitivity with a dynamic range of 106
  • It is highly selective with a low rate of false positives
  • It analyses compounds that are hard to do in other ways

These advantages contrast with other real-time instruments that are either too insensitive, offer poor selectivity, or are limited in the types of organic compounds they can measure.

Anatune is now distributing and supporting this product in the UK and Ireland. In early April, our applications laboratory will take delivery of a Voice200ultra and in May we will be running a series of SIFT-MS workshops, in Cambridge, conducted by a specialist in this field.

If you are curious about SIFT-MS and want to know more, please reply to this email and we will provide you with an information pack, including a detailed description of how SIFT-MS works and how it can be used.
